RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES + Serves as the principal VI SME + Participate in and assist the customer with operational evaluations of advanced technologies. + Assist in developing standards, processes, and tools to identify and document intelligence architectural shortfalls, resource requirements associated with current and emerging intelligence systems and concepts, and to assess resources required to achieve target architectures and design. + Application of VI Management spanning discovery and inventory, support tool, and virtual infrastructure capacity planning. + Develops solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity + Conducts root cause analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve active directory problems + Orchestrates maintenance to support Virtualization Infrastructure activities to all system users + Configures, tests, and maintains VI equipment's and related services + Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for all implemented VI activities + Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, authentication, and the like. + Configures systems to user requirements. + Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as the operations and maintenance of the hardware and software on the servers + Support implementation plans of new configurations for insertion and integration + May administer VI security and/or maintain VI and security appliances. + Works with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems. + Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced VI engineers and other technical staff. + Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. + Participates in special projects as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS + Active TS/SCI (eligible) clearance + Master's degree with 10+ year's of experience or Bachelor's degree with 10+ year's experience in Information Technology, or relevant discipline; + VMware Certified Advanced Professional + MCSE: Core Infrastructure (or equivalent) + IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required + Knowledgeable in the mission and operational requirements of the U.S. Army + Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Army IT operational and technical requirements and an advanced understanding of U.S. Army IT applications and network systems + Must be willing to work overtime, after hours, holidays, and weekends, as necessary PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Master's degree in Network Management, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, National Security Strategy, or a related field + ITIL v4 certification + PMP Certification + 3-5 years or more of supervisory experience + Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required We are seeking a Virtualization Infrastructure (VI) Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team supporting Regional Cyber Command - CONUS at Fort Huachuca, AZ.
