In this role you'll be responsible for:Write, rewrite and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiencesAcquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and chartsConduct quality review of materialsBasic QualificationsAt least 3 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree; or 2 year experience with Master's Degree. In lieu of formal degree, High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and 6 years of relevant experience in a related fieldComplete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standardsKnowledge of industry practicesIndependently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasksAble to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and system description documentsBe able to write in XMLExperience with developing products IAW MIL-STD 40051-1 and 40051-2Preferred Qualifications:Experience in utilizing the USAF Flight Manual or Maintenance Manual change processExperience writing in XML/S1000D International Specification for Technical Publications/IETM/Data Module writing (Arbortext, EAGLE, XMetal, or similar program)Experience in an electronic/avionic field or in a Department of Defense (DoD) maintenance background.An active DoD Secret ClearanceFamiliar with developing products IAW MIL-STD 38784BNGLinkedDSThe health and safety of our employees and their families is a top priority.
