Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our pool team on a per diem basis. This role is crucial for the ongoing support of our rehabilitation services, aimed at helping patients recover from acute illnesses and injuries. As a pool OT, you will be called upon as needed to provide expert therapy and interventions in accordance with individualized patient care plans. This position allows for flexibility and a chance to work with a diverse patient population across various units within our facilities. Assess patient condition and needs to develop a suitable rehabilitative care plan. Implement therapeutic interventions to aid in the recovery of motor skills, balance, and coordination. Educate patients and families on therapy techniques that can be continued post-discharge. Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare teams to adjust care plans as needed. Provide consulting services across various departments as required. Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse patient interactions. Ability to adapt therapy plans to individual patient needs and responses. Proficient in using medical software for patient management. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state license to practice occupational therapy. NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification preferred.
