Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Tucson, Arizona, 85712! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum of 2 years Step Down experience required License: Valid RN
license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS (not expiring within 30
days of start), Open book EKG test required Must-Have: - Skills in
Cardiac Step Down, post-operative heart day 1 - Comfort managing
tracheostomies and arterial lines - Experience titrating insulin,
cardiac, and vasoactive drips - Patient to nurse ratio of 1:3 is
the gold standard; 1:4 is understaffed - Will float within scope of
care - Must complete full contract length - Travel experience
preferred Description: This position requires ICU nurses who are
willing to work in a step-down environment with high acuity.
Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant
experience. The role involves managing critical patients
post-surgery and those with unstable cardiac conditions. Essential
skills include cardiac telemetry and the management of various
drips without titration. Nurses are expected to provide care for
patients with conditions such as DKA, severe respiratory issues,
unstable cardiac rhythms, sepsis, and uncontrolled blood pressures.
The unit supports various interdisciplinary services, including IV
teams and respiratory services. This role does not accommodate
blocked schedules or local staffing requests. An excellent patient
