Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or
university. Appropriate teaching certificate as issued by the State
of Arizona to include appropriate vocational certification and
endorsements. Reading Specialist Endorsement and/or CLIP or Reading
Recovery Trained KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Utilize, with
fidelity, the District Positive Behavior Intervention Support
(PBIS) program at the building level. Ensure information obtained
through the course of duties associated with this position is held
in the highest of confidentiality. Perform all duties in accordance
with Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board
policies; including mandatory reporting procedures. Disclaimer: The

position-specific duties. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To
assist students toward the attainment of their potential for
intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation.
Implement by instruction and action the District philosophy of
education and instructional goals and objectives. Guide the
learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals; in
harmony with the goals, establishes desired student performance
objectives for all lessons, units, and projects; communicates these
objectives to students. Assess students to determine whether
desired student performance objectives are being achieved. Plan,
after identifying student needs, a program of study. Employ
instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for
meeting stated objectives. Diagnose the learning disabilities of
students on a regular basis and refers to appropriate specialist
where need exists. Evaluate, conscientiously and fairly, the
accomplishments of students and provides progress reports as
required by law, District policy, and administrative regulation.
Provide an atmosphere, physical and psychological, conducive to
learning. Maintain accurate permanent academic and attendance
records for students. Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or
parents on a regular basis. Assist in upholding and enforcing
school rules, administrative regulations, and Governing Board
Policy. Attend and participates in general faculty and department
meetings. Cooperate with other staff members in planning
instructional goals, objectives, and methods. Assist in the
selection of books, equipment, and other instructional equipment.
Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with others.
Maintain and improve professional competence. Maintain active and
harmonious involvement in community affairs. Perform other
reasonable duties as may be directed by the Principal. PERFORMANCE
STANDARDS The teacher demonstrates an understanding of the
curriculum, subject content, and the developmental needs of
students by providing relevant learning experiences. The teacher
plans using the state's standards, the school's curriculum, data,
and engaging and appropriate strategies and resources to meet the
needs of all students. The teacher uses a variety of research-based
instructional strategies relevant to the content area to engage
students in active learning, to promote key skills, and to meet
individual learning needs. The teacher systematically gathers,
analyzes, and uses relevant data to measure student progress, guide
instructional content and delivery methods, and provide timely
feedback to students, parents, and stakeholders. The teacher uses
resources, routines, and procedures to provide a respectful,
positive, safe, student-centered environment that is conducive to
learning. The teacher maintains a commitment to professional
ethics, collaborates and communicates appropriately, and takes
responsibility for personal professional growth that results in the
enhancement of student learning. The work of the teacher results in
acceptable, measurable, and appropriate student progress.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS The teacher reports to the site
administrator. The teacher will interact cooperatively with all
other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be
practiced. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT VIEW TEACHER INITIAL WAGE PLACEMENT
