Definition & Essential Functions
This recruitment seeks qualified trained dispatchers from other
public safety dispatch centers willing to fill in shifts at SEACOM
on an as-needed basis.
Job Summary & Essential Functions:
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the tasks,
responsibilities, skills and abilities that are listed in the job
description. This is not a comprehensive listing of all functions
and tasks performed. Individuals may perform other duties as
assigned needed to support the assigned functional area.
Under general supervision, answers emergency 911 and non-emergency
telephone calls, determines nature and urgency of call and
dispatches appropriate personnel and equipment. This position is
required to work on a rotating shift schedule (day, mid-shift and
nights) covering 24/7 operation which will include working holidays
and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS: PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER:
1. Public Safety Dispatcher candidates must be a minimum of 18
years of age.
2. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED.
3. After a conditional offer of employment, candidates must pass a
hearing examination as determined by an audiologist.
4. Candidates must not have been convicted of a felony or any
offense that would be a felony if committed in Arizona.
5. Candidates must not have been convicted of a misdemeanor
criminal offense involving moral turpitude in Arizona, nor in any
state or federal jurisdiction, where the commission of such a
criminal offense would be a misdemeanor as defined by the Arizona
Revised Statutes.
6. Candidates must not have been dishonorably discharged from the
United States Armed Forces.

requirements. Public Safety Dispatchers are expected to possess

SEACOM Minimum Qualifications for Public Safety Dispatcher
trainee:1. Public Safety Dispatcher candidates must be a minimum of
18 years of age.2. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or
GED.3. Candidates must possess uncorrected hearing with no loss
greater than 25db in the 500, 1000, 2000, 3000 hertz frequencies as
measured by an audiometer.4. Candidates must not have been
convicted of a felony or any offense that would be a felony if
committed in Arizona.5. Candidates must not have been convicted of
a misdemeanor criminal offense involving moral turpitude in
Arizona, nor in any state or federal jurisdiction, where the
commission of such a criminal offense would be a misdemeanor as
defined by the Arizona Revised Statues.6. Candidates must not have
